However, I do have a passion for fashion. It started when I was in high school and was obsessed with Teen Vogue, I'm no longer a teenager but definitely still a subscriber but my new mag of choice is Glamour. Despite my fondness of fashion magazines I have recently become more infatuated with blogs. So here's my ditty, I'm going to attempt my own blog. I plan on posting outfits, and pretty much anything else I find interesting or desire to share.
What does me being an eternal penny pincher have to do with me blogging you ask? Good question. I have decided I have so many new and wonderful things that I need to start wearing and mixing, but I have also delivered myself the challenge of any clothes I buy can't be new starting now, they must be thrifted, etc. I will still use all the other clothes I have that weren't previously used before I got it but I don't need to buy any more new clothes thrift stores are great and finding things are such a thrill. Out of the clothes I already have as I realize I don't really use them I will donate and get rid of things because hey, we can't take them with us once we are gone!
Luke 12:13-21
13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
14 But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?”
15 And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
16 And he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man produced plentifully,
17 and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’
18 And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.”’20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’
21 So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”
